This document outlines the position of NoBCA on the western Sydney aerocrapolis plans espounded by the Greater Sydney Commission and Parkland City Authority on behalf of the NSW government.

DownloadThe NSW government are asking for your comments on their new State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP). To date, all of their planning policies have increased deforestation, overdevelopment and made NSW the extinction capital of the world. That's what making things 'easier' has done. What else would you expect when you allow developers to approve their own projects?
Their plan for a 24/7 airport p, wiping out Sydney's food bowl and clearing thousands of hectares of forest, then surrounding it 3 million people, some as close as 1km from the runway, is probably the worst of them all.
So we encourage you to tell them so:
NoBCA was started in 1995 by Kay and Stephen Vella, as a community response to resurrection of plans to build an airport at Badgerys Creek in western Sydney. NoBCA was instrumental in stopping construction then & twice more over subsequent decades. Yet it was dug up again in 2016, & so the fight continues.
